SLOAN SHELTON

INSTRUCTOR

Sloan Shelton is from Saraland, Alabama where she received her dance training under the instruction of her grandmother, Lynn Robinson. Mrs. Robinson is the founder and former owner of Robinson’s School of Dance. While under her instruction, she had the pleasure to obtain instruction from Kelly Ann Robinson and Kori Ross. Additionally, Sloan studied at Mobile Ballet and took dance courses at her high school. Sloan has attended many regional and national dance conventions where she earned numerous prestigious awards and scholarships.

Sloan has had the honor of working as an assistant for various instructors across the United States such as: Lynn Robinson, Kelly Ann Robinson, Kori Ross, Ashley Barnett, Elizabeth Joubert, and Noble Bradley. She has been an attendee and staff member of Celebrity Dance Competitions and Conventions. While on faculty at Celebrity Dance, Sloan had the opportunity to work alongside Sarah Brinson, Chelsea Thedinga, Chaz Buzan, Ade Obayomi, Tony Elliott, Matt Cady, and Jenna Lyn.

Sloan recently graduated from Marymount Manhattan College (MMC) in New York City, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance with a concentration in ballet. While dancing at MMC, Sloan had the opportunity to work with Shelia Barker, Adam Barruch, Damien Bassman, Justin Boccitto, Catherine Cabeen, Elena Comendador, Harriet Clark, Kim Craven, Anthony Ferro, Karen Gayle, Larry Keigwin, Katie Langan, Geoffrey Doig-Marx, Andrea Miller, Suzie Goldman, Lone Larsen, Nancy Lushington, Elisabeth Motley, Pedro Ruiz, and Angelica Stiskin.
